Rainy Mondays

30 Nov

‘Twas a grey and dreary day in New York City, the type that looks like a movie, so if you had some melancoly jazz playing on your earphones you’d feel like you were in a film noir feature. Took the Hasselblad XPan camera out for a spin which shoots awesome wide cinemascope style frames. Bit tricky with the focusing and all, especially with the lens and view finder fogging up but great fun and this is exactly how I see NY – in widescreen.

In late 2008 I visited one of my best friends in Toronto and partied with all her amazing mates. Seriously, these guys had such a positive vibe that I felt like NYC had infected me with some sort of cynicism! Light seems to have leaked all over the film and the Holga makes great blurry pics. Happy accidents….
