Winter in Manhattan

Snow is New York is pretty. Until it goes brown the next day. A blizzard rolled in not long before Christmas and buried the city, Brooklyn, Queens, etc under about two feet of snow. Leaving a subway station in Brooklyn presented a problem – not being able to see more than half a block in either direction. Still, it makes for some nice pics and despite the frozen toes, and difficulty in navigating through the crowd trying to avoid slipping over, it’s a great time of year. These were taken around the East Village / Tompkins Square Park area where I live.
