There’s been a lot of anger for some time over Police brutality in America and that frustration has spiked recently after Police officers responsible for murdering citizens were not indicted. Last night protests sprang up all over New York and converged on the massive Christmas tree lighting at Rockefeller Center in Manhattan. For me, it is important to remember that although the brutality does lean unfavorably onto minorities, that Police overstepping boundaries affects everyone no matter what skin color you have. It’s a human thing, and people should have the right to feel protected, not beaten down, by their Police force. And it’s a shame that a select bunch of enraged individuals wearing a badge, are undermining the work of honest cops that do indeed want to make a difference.
