COACHELLA DAY 3

Another year, another Coachella down. Well, weekend one anyway! They’ll be back in the desert doing it all over again this weekend too. Kendrick Lamar delivered a blistering set as headliner, holding the stage on his own, as did Lorde. But it was film score composer Hans Zimmer (Inception, The Lion King, Dark Knight trilogy) that stole the evening with a mind melting performance backed by an expansive band, gargantuan orchestra and choir plus visuals by Pink Floyd mastermind Mark Brickman. It’s not often you see grown men reduced to tears during a music performance, and it was a risk to put it on during the final night of the festival, but given the reception and sea of people, it paid off.
