Downtown LA

I have this fascination with Downtown LA and the surrounding off ramps and bridges. It’s a modern American city that still feel downtrodden a bit, and Broadway has a feeling of Times Square before it became the horrible sugar coated family theme park it is now. It’s being fast tracked for hyper gentrification (dammit…) but I’ll give LA a little credit, at least they are preserving and repurposing all the classic architecture and theatres instead of demolishing them like NYC does. Anyway, here’s a couple of those old film palaces and some of the decidedly less glamorous parts of LA…
