ON THE STREETS OF NYC FOR BIDEN’S VICTORY
Late Saturday morning, the sound of pots started banging out of open apartment windows. At first I didn’t give it much thought. Then the honking started. And the cheers. And by then, you knew exactly what was happening. The Trump era was coming to end. And all at once, for the first time in 2020, the city let out a collective sigh of relief. Strangers danced together in the street, outdoor parties kicked off, and all round general elation after a tumultuous four years.
